На каждом этапе игры геймеру помогают подсказки. С их помощью легко выполнять квесты, повышать уровень умений, нанимать и улучшать спутников. Последних можно иметь целых 3, они будут помогать персонажу в суровых сражениях. Спутники не только атакуют и защищаются, но и дают герою дополнительные эффекты. Например, позволяют получать дополнительные очки гнева, которые тратятся на активацию особых умений. Сражения в игре Dragon Knight II проходят в полуавтоматическом режиме с пошаговым нанесением удара. Игроку нужно будет тщательно планировать каждый ход, чтобы накопить гнев для победы над главным боссом. В бою очень много различных эффектов, которые смотрятся реально круто. Для каждого навыка своя анимация. Мобов и боссов в игре очень много, все они уникальны и в бою действую не по шаблону.

Основным показателем силы персонажа является его мощь. Она повышается игровыми предметами, спутниками. Также по мере повышения уровня персонажа перед игроком будут открываться дополнительные возможности. Он сможет использовать маунта, прокачивать спутников, пользоваться помощью богини, исследовать подземелья, играть в мини-игры. С 30 уровня будет доступна система рыцарей, которая позволит посостязаться за титул Рыцаря Золотого Дракона.

В игре Dragon Knight II можно будет организовывать серверные вечеринки, посиделки у костра. Померятся силами с другими игроками можно в дуэли на арене, массовом ПвП на площади смерти или межсерверных событиях. В игре можно даже устраивать свадьбы, вступать в гильдию.
